I'm am working toward my Masters in Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) at the UW iSchool. We have an iEverything, including iDrunk pint glasses.
FAQ: You have to go to school for that?
Yes. Short form of the rant: it's not knowing the Dewey Decimal system and having Google bookmarked. It's coding the next Dewey Decimal system and finding answers in databases that call Google "bitch," while at the same time dealing with funding cuts, free speech, educating the public, trying to conserve more books than will fit in your building while selecting new materials that the public actually wants, getting the computers back online again, and writing up the budget presentation for the board meeting. And that's presuming you're even taking the program with a public library focus...
